Hello friends!! Today is the day that I get to share my living room decorated for part 1, of my Christmas Home Tour. It is my favorite time of year and I can’t wait to show you what I have whipped up! I love to use red for Christmas and and as much as I wanted to go with a mixed metals theme this year, I just couldn’t bring myself to switch over! So here it is…my farmhouse Christmas Home Tour featuring my living room.
I’m sharing this room as part of a Christmas Blog Hop with some super talented friends. If you are visiting from my friend Julie at Julie Warnock Interiors, welcome! I am so glad you are here!!
I found these cozy, comfy, buffalo check blankets at Walmart this year and couldn’t pass them up for $15!! They added the perfect touch to my living room…think country lodge theme. At least that is what I was aiming for! HA
This flocked beauty, is from King of Christmas, and is stunning! It is my first year having a flocked tree and I am hooked. I ordered the 7.5′ King Flock slim and it is all things right in this world! There is something magical about that white fake snow…I nearly tackled the FedEx driver wrestling my tree out of his hands on delivery day. Did I tell you that I lalalalalalala LOVE Christmas?!
I found these vintage “looking” stockings from Hobby Lobby for 50% off, making them a whole whopping $5…yes please!!! So I bought 5. Do you do stockings for your whole family? Or just the kiddos? I only do them for the kiddos because the coal I would have to put in my husbands stocking would be sooooo messy! bwahahahaha . Just kidding!! I changed out my pillows, in the basket on my hearth, to all my holiday Porter Lane pillows. These are seriously the cutest Christmas pillows that you can find!
This pillow quoting my families favorite Christmas movie was too fun to pass up!! It just reminds me of what the holidays are all about…time to pour the eggnog and fetch the moose cups!!
A simple coffee table vignette of a large wooden snowflake that I scored from Home Goods and silver candlesticks from Ikea. Sometimes less is more and with this vignette I didn’t want to go overboard. I really wanted to keep the focus on my Christmas tree and let everything else take back stage.
Lastly I added buffalo check pillow covers from Amazon…they were inexpensive and turned out to be great quality. Sometimes with Amazon, you never know what you are going to get, but these were a total steal! I keep these small chairs at my coffee table for my 4 & 5 year old to use when they color, eating their snacks, and playing with ALL the toys. I know they don’t work for everyone, but at this stage in my family, they are perfect us. So don’t let design trends dictate what you do in your own home…do what works best for you!!
I hope you enjoyed part 1, of my Christmas Home Tour and are inspired to create a holiday haven of your own! Don’t let the decorating party end and head on over to Martha, at Simply Cozy Charm, for some more beautiful holiday inspiration!!
